Okay so true story, a few years back after leaving a 12 year law enforcement career, having my third daughter, and becoming a SAHM, and going natural, and relocating back to my home state, and going veggie (that was temporary), and... well everything else that life brings, I think I suffered a quarterlife crisis (yes, I self diagnosed, so what!). I needed something to do, I needed a hobby, so I did tons of researching (still do) and began making my own natural hair care products, and I found out I liked it, alot!!! Then somehow that slowly morphed into making my own soaps. Friends and family tried them and liked them. I decided to test the waters with my own business, and Herb'n Development Handmades was born. I prayed on it, and God told me it was a go (^-^) Since that time, my line has grown from just soaps, to makings sugar and salt scrubs, body butters, lip balms, lotions, etc. And for the New Year, i'll be adding even more to the line.

What inspires me most is my city. New Orleans is such a fabulously, charming, and wonderful, and diverse, and unique, and fun city to be in. Just taking a stroll through any of the neighborhoods will bring so many ideas to mind, and I wanna hurry back to the HDH Kitchen to "work it out"! I've had a love affair with NOLA ever since I was little *insert warm fuzzy feeling here*

BTW, I'm no longer a SAHM, i'm a Police Officer again. And my hubby and three girls are doing great!!!
